I’ve been wanting to record this song and after seeing Jon Cleary will be playing Maple Leaf Bar on a night I can’t go, it just pushed me to get this done. I’m looking forward to just being a few blocks away.
This song has been important to me of late. Hard to explain why. It’s some combination of my own blues, the timing of when I first paid attention to it, and relating people and places together.
