Some Words and a Song

Well, we are all holed up in our homes (or should be) and trying to flatten the curve of Covid-19. Seems a good time to create and embrace the art inside.

It got me thinking of a few of my favorite words that I thought I’d share with you.

  • Petrichor: the smell of rain when it falls on dry earth
  • Murmuration: a flock of starlings
  • Mellifluous: a smooth, rich flow
  • Verdure: the green of vegetation, that startling beauty of green we are beginning to see as winter gives way to spring

Not a whole lot to it but I’ve been casting my artistic net wide with cooking, baking, coloring, and singing as well. So, here is my cover of Carina Round’s “Please Don’t Stop.”
