The joy of moving across country and especially of moving as a single person, instead of as a married couple, is that I get to make all things new as I choose.
My new home will be painted and decorated as I choose without asking anyone’s opinion. I have new ideas!
My diet can be what I want. I’ve found the local farmers market and since I leave behind my CSA, it will be time to see what’s in season and when and eat accordingly, if sparingly. If I eat poorly, I have no one to blame but myself. There are no influences…except my fave restaurants’ Instagrams. I don’t even want to name them because I don’t want to fight lines of tourists to get in. I get to start over. What goes into the fridge is all up to me. Not wasting food will be a new challenge.
My schedule, my noise footprint, my days, my nights…they all become mine and mine alone (okay, pup and cat will have a say as well).
It’s scary to start over. It also opens up many new avenues. Choose to be uncomfortable.
