It’s been a while. My usual excuse: I’ve been busy. Old houses need a lot of love and I’m in the middle of 3 different projects right now, including refinishing the basement stairs. If you follow along on Instagram, you’ve seen the progress. Of course since it’s summer, my air conditioner broke too. It’s been a hot week waiting on a technician but one will be out tomorrow. Huzzah!
As I am waiting for the house to cool down enough to sleep- it’s currently 80° in here- I felt inspired to record a song I’ve been longing to do for months and had even recorded on another night but I didn’t like how that one came out. Here is tonight’s offering: Do You
You’ll hear my needy cat in the background because she also does not like this insipid heat or maybe she just wanted to sing along.
The recording may not be perfect but nothing in life is. I have some more videos planned and am even considering a recorded dance to a song that currently is ripping at my heart. Music does that though… or at least it should.
Speaking of music, I’m still singing and performing with the Denver Women’s Chorus though we are on summer hiatus. I’ll be performing the National Anthem with them when the Rockies play the Padres in August. Exciting stuff!
Now I’m going to grab an ice pack to lay on so hopefully I can get some rest.
