Only minutes after my last post my aunt raced into the hallway and said, “Christina, she’s not breathing!”
I raced to her room and checked for a pulse. She was gone. She went peacefully, in her childhood home, with all her family and dear friends around her.
I climbed into bed with her and held her until they took her away. I watched her leave this home we grew up in for the last time.
Last night I slept with her blanket, holding her stuffed white tiger named Yuki. He’s coming home with me.
It’s hard to even imagine all we have to do and plan now. I have music playing in my head, all songs for her.
