Daily Lines, day 9

It’s been a busy week: we finally made it out to Breckenridge and my husband almost didn’t come back to lower altitude with me. He fell in love with Breck but who wouldn’t?

After Breck, we came home and have been busy with the house. Kevin is installing the new ceiling in our basement and I’ve been taking care of our food supplies, as usual. The CSA really overloaded us this year, so next year we only ordered a small veggie share. I think we will do better with that.

Right now I had chicken and andouille defrosting in the fridge to make a buffalo spaghetti squash casserole and a small batch of gumbo but our home has now gotten another first: the first fever.

Kevin was struck sick on Saturday but he kept moving on the ceiling. Sunday, I woke up very ill, couldn’t keep any food down until late in the day, and the fever hit last night. Today has been difficult but I’m muddling through. Thankfully, I’m off work tomorrow, so I can continue to rest and possibly get to some of my cooking and baking.

So, that’s all that’s been going on here.
